OK it is time to "fess-up". It was the rocker gasket after all. :)
The LH screw-down T-Bolt was not as tight as the RH side one.
One extra quarter turn (to match the resistance felt on the RH side one) and the leak stopped.

Right angled adapter on driller but was tight.
May have taken the wing off to make life easier. Hardest is the inside/near engine

Removed the battery light cable from the alternator stud and connected it to the alternator pin, and everything works fine! It would seem there is an issue with the alternator stud terminal - spoken to the supplier and waiting to...
I reckon we should all pool resources build a time machine and go back, buy all those cars that were dirt cheap like XR3i Renault 5 Turbo and every VW Product that you could pick up for literally 50 quid.
Put them in a barn then travel back to...
