Not much relevance to LRs, but a good running out of fuel story nonetheless...was heading south on the ice roads (ice road truckers) and had only just come off the last lake back onto the all season road that runs the last 70kms into Yellowknife...
Probably but I think it will be gone by the time you get round to deciding if interested mate. Under 2 days left and it’s had 1200 odd views on eBay 😳
Got 2 people wanting to view - both farmers 😂
Okay so I think I've sorted this - clearly not looking properly at 11pm last night when I was trying to fit it.
If you look at the sixth photo, you can just about see the stud from the mount sticking down, this was resting on the chassis leg...
From what I have picked up on the forum chatter their quality control has improved. But still not sure I will be ordering form them when the time comes. I need a chassis and bulkhead for the station wagon, but that will probably come from...
Just to confirm @Hicap phill above the interior/ dash light switch as standard gives dash lights one way and interior light the other way with both off in the middle.
Carburettor. What do you do? Best option, send to a specialist and give it the works. Can't really afford it. Change to a Weber. I stupidly want to keep the original one. Buy a Chinese replacement. I hear they can be lots of trouble. I'm going to...
Latest dash bits. Still got a bit of fettling and shaping to do before covering in vinyl but definitely coming on. I can't think of a way to replicate the indented oval shape over those three spare gauge holes so will have to live without it...
They just type the details into the system & all good. So it’s clear.
Best bet see the motor & check the numbers.
These should have been done for the hpi check
If I’m out after 22.00hrs…plod will drive next to me for a look.
Last tug 5years ago. Brake lights not working, well check again officer bet they are working… and a flick of a switch and all good.
And when I lived down Kent it was every week. I...
Could be the clutch flexi pipe has delaminated inside, result black fluid and possible blockage. Remove pipe from slave and see if fluid will flow from master.
Looks like this has been a coil spring motor for over 10years.
So how has this not had a tug by plod for an inspection.
Someone has spent a lot of money doing this up and not getting it inspected.
Also still says 2500cc not 3.5
Thanks for confirming. Clearly been hacked about then.
I've got the switch but it's unplugged and the wire chopped for the internal light. The wires for the instrument light have been rerouted to run off something else - obviously a permanent...
It’s either internal light or instrument lights
Both won’t be on at the same time(unless it’s been changed by the PO)
By you right knee you should some switches(hazard is 1 of these) and the light switch should be there
Another idea would be them sun shades you can get in Halfords (and other places) to put on side windows to protect babies and such like. Quite often held on with little suction cups, easy to remove when you want to use the sunroof.
I don't think anyone is saying it isn't a thing. They are mandated for most cars drag racing if you go over 'x' speed or run 'y' time. But rarely are they a factory fitted item on most vehicles or 4x4's. And certainly never in the case of the...
Great comments above and it is down to experience. For me the 300TDI is a solid choice and I don't care about A/C or any luxuries. The Defender is to thrive and feel alive with a huge smile on the face.
Just to set minds at ease i am not going to pioneer this. If someone with these engines had success, I thought it would be a novel way to help my 109" since the brakes are ever a challenge. I am not risking my motor thought. If you think a...
