Well it only cost £50 ages ago & has not had an easy life(after nephew smacked the roof on a tree learning to drive)
Fitted the new/second hand one I got a few months ago. Just need to shrink the length...
The wiring looks stock and it's worked fine for years. I'm thinking must be a loose connection somewhere which might be affected by the vibration of the engine maybe.
Job for another day I think.
Note that is an odd one, if switched on should go at all times the ignition is on regardless as you know.

Oem flanges dont have the best tolerances so you do get a fair bit of fretting and transmission slap. Fairly reduced with the HD flanges!
Think ill stick with britpart shafts and CVs takes a fair bit of lead foot and shockload to actually break...

Form them pics I would say the shaft splines would not give way and expanded while been twisted. Once it was wedged in the stub thatās when it snapped the shaft.
