Remind me again, cats sleep. A lot!
Turned out that picking up where you left before a three week vacation, and a night drive back home, is a bad idea. The horn is installed (bolt one), the diff switch retainer around the gear lever is installed...
Only works until the big parcels reveal small items! I did tell her that I can use the parts I don't need when I'm finally done. Which actually is the plan, so if someone needs a RRC steering column, let me know!
No. No i haven't. Would you have any idea whereabouts it might be? I searched for the fuse box a while ago and failed to find that! Oddly enough when i was holding the ignition key in crank position to feel if the battery terminals were getting...
It did this a couple times since Christmas so i bought a new starter motor. After having to change the clutch slave cylinder flexi hose on the Saturday, and then having the slave cylinder fail the next day, i got a new one and fitted it the...
Apparently, almost all the stuff I ordered beforw and during our summer vacation, ehich is ending tomorrow unfortunately, has been delivered. My catsitting dad was so kind to also take delivery for that. He just told me that it looks like...
Bypassing an egr with a dpf fitted is not a good idea, i think.
I have the 4.4 tdv8 with dpf deleted. Of course i don't drive that on the road because that's dangerous and illegal. I don't know but presume the dpf has had a sister delete but I'm...
If you can find a replacement axle you'll be fine. Parts for Salisbury axles are available. And there are great tutorials on YouTube. Britannia restorations, Mike, Covers a full rebuild.
Let.me explain the whole story: the guy that sold me included this diff in the deal, because he was planning to remove the welded diff. I plan to Change to this "regular" diff because I wont BE doing any hardcore OffRoad, so i do not feel the...
This is a reasonable thing to do, keep it road safe and pass MOT, do the the necessary work as it comes up. Might end up with a bunch of stuff to be done at once so. But yeah, those nut and bolt restorations trnd to never be finished, cost a lot...
I honestly think this is the best piece of advice I have ever read or heard anywhere, and I wish id had someone say that to me when I was in my early 20's.
It's what I've done with my 90 for the past 10 years, and what I should have done with my...
I had the 109 on stands ONLY to discover the left rear wheel is loose - not connected to transmition. Could it BE a broken half shaft?
Does this looks like it should?
The Landy was driveable because the rear diff is soldered ( Will Change that...
I agree with the chaps above regarding repairs. Do not be tempted with doing a complete strip down overhaul unless this is really your thing, so many are never finished. Keep as a rolling restoration and enjoy each fix/improvement done as you use it.
Pre MOT checks, found both front drive shaft seals are leaking, new not so long ago when I did the swivels etc, wish I had left the originals in place, new stuff doesn't seem to last long.
Fitted a stereo with DAB and Bluetooth (complete with external microphone). Works very well. Can change the colour to match the dash too. Sony MEX-N7300BD, if anyone is interested.
At 3/4 of nominal max. power output without rev limiter or at the rev limiter, if I understood well. Not sure, it's a science to properly apply those testing procedures.
Anyways, off to Scotland we go now!
Some of the newer ducati are like that. Static noise testing on trackdays is usually 102db so they aren't allowed out. Even though they will pass drive by 'on track' limits
thanks for the reply! I already have all the brackets, but I just didn’t quite understand how to fit them. By chance I came a cross a YouTube video of a RR which cleared everything up.
In my opinion these schematics are a bit confusing though as...
