Good news, a replacement immobiliser from ebay for £100 has done the job, the seller was Brit-car if anyone's interested, just need to find out how to program extra rf fobs now.

Yes, unfortunately, the feed comes straight from the immobiliser circuit. I am suspicious about the immobiliser from previous issues. I've order a "genuine landrover" replacement off eBay. Hopefully I'll also be able to double my count of the rf ID fobs at the same time, I don't like only...

I have just tested a replacement fuel stop solenoid and it doesn't work either, even though the feed has 12 volts on it, the volts just drop away when connected to the solenoid. It makes me think the immobiliser cannot kick out enough amps to power the solenoid for whatever reason. I have found...

A few weeks ago my 110 300tdi cut out just after starting whilst I was fiddling with the stereo prior to setting off for work. A few attempted restarts resulted in nothing except the starter turning over. Luckily I was able to let Mrs Hairymammal know that she would have to go without her car...

I like a nice bright colour, it helps when you're checking to make sure nothings fallen off.

I have a blue 110 with white steel wheels and I like the contrast that white gives, it looks good and traditional. I am however also tempted by a nice set of shiny black modulars which I think would look great if the rest of the wagon were nice and shiny to match.

My 300tdi has a Eureka immobiliser fitted, it looks as if the unit is sitting where the Spider would usually be under the passenger seat. Unfortunately I only have one of the green immobiliser fobs and no gold programming fob. I'm keen to have a spare fob for when Mr Sod and his law come...

Thanks for the info Turboman, I hope/think it was probably just acclimatisation. It certainly feels how I expected. Although I will look into the possible culprits.
