So, did you repair the rear door frame and fit a new lower skin? Im going to have a look at mine this weekend and order up what it needs. I also need to build up the front door tops and second row doors. Going to get fed up doing doors shortly! 🥴
Thought I would get some window fitting underway tonight. I had bought some new seals and infills for the alpine windows so might as well get them fitted! I cleaned the windows to get rid of any dirt and grime then I pushed the new seal into the...
You are right - still a lot to do but every step forward is a win! I was going to order a lower repair section for the safari door too. Where did you buy yours from? I suspect they will all be the same.
Thanks!, I still have door tops to build up for the front, fit the 2nd row doors and build up, a front wing to be painted, rear safari door to repair and paint, and not forgetting to complete the wiring, fuel system, sort out seating, etc… so...
I thought I would put some new fixings to hold the roof down rather than use the originals. Makes it look a bit better in my opinion. I also gave one of the second row seat bases a clean and refinish using TRG vinyl dye. It is not cheap but...
Hi Folks, here’s one of my infrequent updates 😂. Got a few bits done but was interrupted by holidays, work and Ill health, but here they are…
I cleaned, painted and refitted the vertical angles as per Wagon Loons side windows. Makes sense now...
It's all really comming together, and looking concours too 👍
I need to build a shed for the 109's parts, so I can get and restore them as I go. But my 300tdi farmy pick-up had me busy for some time rebuilding the front axle and putting new...
That’s absolutely spot on - exactly what I needed! Brilliant help, thanks!
I looks like my window seals were replaced at some point and the channel fitted back on incorrectly….😊.
Ok thanks,
I'll get Gigi's cover off and take some pics. Probably tomorrow as we're just heading to my woods with a load of brash for another wildlife pile. It always surprises me how much you can get into an old Landy. 😄
Hi @Wagon Loon , thanks for your reply. The channel seems to fit vertically at the rear end of the sliding window. See image below. They way it was previously fitted seems to be incorrect as it would not seal correctly.
Anyone else got this channel fitted? Maybe @Wagon Loon you have this?
Once I get this right I’ll get the installation finished.
Meanwhile I fitted the grab rail, as I was fed up tripping over it 😊
Been a bit slow progress of late as I’ve been on holiday. Been desperate to make some decent progress, so ploughed on with the other rear side windows. Got all the lower and upper channels fitted, windows cleaned of old overspray and gunk and...
