Nice pics JP! Where is that water on the plains where Loz tested his snorkel. Stretchie might correct me, but I don't recognise that!
So.....now you've got memory map, you better mark out that water trap we managed to get you stuck in....lol
Getting stuck....in a mud pit on Salisbury????? Not like you've ever done that eh? Not like I had to balance off your reat bumper, clinging to your spare wheel and praying while I hovered over said mud pit to get the rope over your tow hitch.....lol
Stretchie is so proud for helping you get...
They can do what they want. We've dealt with more crap than someone cloning the numberplate and we can always prove where the vehicle has and hasn't been so really not worried about it.
The police are so used to it happening, they are very quick to make a few checks and leave you alone.
I...
WOW, cheers for doing that. I actually really like it. We are looking at doing it so that we can have potentially have a lift and taller tyres for a bit more ground clearance, without the worry of whacking the roof off road. We use the Disco for work as well as fun, so while we're not bothered...
No action piccies as all that's on video. We're out again tomorrow, so will hopefully get a link to the vids up in the week.
Great day guys, nice to meet you all and hope to get out there with you again soon!
So funny, we did go on o have a great day and got plenty of mud and water for us to tackle on our own and found a grea spot to have a break with the dogs by a pond for them to swim in!
Look forward to Monday if it happens and hope to see you then!
We'll definately be going back soon and now know enough good permissible tracks and byways to make it a good fun day, so you're more than welcome to join us whenever that may be, but there will be others that know the place better than us!
Sounds good. We're looking at a front winch bumper, but also a decent Tirfor hand winch as well for the flexibility of use. After being pulling the Disco out with one last week, it's something we both want.
I hear ya! It's not even like having a winch would help you in many places on Salisbury as there's sometimes nothing to wrap the winch around! We just play it safe and as you can see by the pics......I have the lovely job of walking the water traps first!
Yup, that's the one Ratty. We went around it, but the water was quite a bit lower than in that vid. Glad we didn;t do it on our own, but prob would have been ok. Just no point risking getting stuck when we had seen only 6 or 7 cars the whole day!
