I'd have to check RAVE next time I have the laptop running but it is less than you think. 90 nm sounds way too much. 25 nm sounds more likely. The high pressure pipes just need nipping up so they don't leak. Finger tips tight using a 17 mm...

RAVE says always use a new bolt as it is a stretch bolt. Sone say you can reuse them a few times but I wouldn't risk it!

Last time I went for parts from my Landy dealer the kid pointed out the car was considerably older than he was and he generally only sees JLR cars still under warranty because the dealer prices are so high. Fair point!

Dunlops a bit pricey but Proevo+ about right. Never heard of Proevo+ before. Not sure I'd risk them over Dunlop, not even being 30% cheaper!

Sure it is in the TDC hole? A skipped tooth would cause issues. The cam is set with a 12 thou spacer when tightening the cam stretch bolt. 10 mm is way too much.

I’d ideally avoid them as well. I don’t plan on getting rid of the P38 until the government makes it illegal to drive them - I’ve invested far too much money and blood to pass it on. I’ll take a look at the Dunlops though. Hopefully they’ll last...

GEMS has an additional cover plate, but I think the 1999 onwards it's part of the sump on Thor engine ? Not sure about diseasel though. The bell housing inspection plate should be enough to see the flex plate on all types ?
