Best fuel economy is at max torque. Guessing on the petrol that's about 3000 rpm?
I'd leave it as it is. I'd also guess that given most fuel economy figures are quoted at 56 mph (80 kph) then that's probably what it has been tuned to do best...
Those Wildtracks are pretty good. One at work was twin - turbo with 10 speed automatic and I think it had low range too. Pretty sure it was usually 2H but also had 4H and then 4L on a knob near the gear selector. Towed with it a few times and it...
Ranger 3.2 wildtrack, 3500kgs capacity yeah, emptyed the spare wheel and my usual junk that takes my RR to 2780kgs usually with me in it too so it is somewhere near 2550kg, his trailers 850kg, luckily we have a weigh bridge and i had to remove a...
Emptied the interior yesterday and today, isolated the transmission tunnel, got the rear carpets in, the transmission tunnel carpet as well. Reinstalled the drawers in the back. Plugged two holes, one in the driver foot well and one in the roof...
Have you checked that you have not nudged the the dash dimming button, you would not be the first to have done it and stipped bits apart before finding out.
GEMS is rolling code. Not convinced the Thor is but never played with one. I also don't know if it just sends the code to start or whether it continually sends it. Both strategies were used on the diesel depending on the year.
Marty scratched...
Follow up question, could someone be so kind and share photo of a RHD dashboard and steering column? Because if washer, indicator, light and so on switches are mirrored as well, a RHD harness won't cut it. Instruments would require some...
Yes, I realise that but those 3 know the procedure all the way from capturing the code to sending a code to start the car.
iirc the Thor and diesel are similar in that there's a single code held in the BECM and the chip in the EMS. GEMS is...
Might be worth talking to Les at Classic Rides North Wales or maybe MrSporty or even Marty_uk, although probably have to try Marty's forum to get hold of him.
I think all three of them know how to capture the remote code and how it is then...
Managed to crank the scrapper and bleed the pipes. Car started but no throttle response. That's slooby's FIP. I suspect he may have had the pump top off!
Tried the nuts again. Failed so put some Quiksteel on there. Might hold them in place if it...
Check the aircon drains are clear.
Coolant or water coming out? If coolant then either heater-matrix o-rings or possibly the heater-matrix itself has failed.
Simple bluetooth OBD reader combined with Torque app should allow you to see all readings on a Thor engine. EDIT: iPhones don't like Bluetooth.
Nanocom tends to interrogate each chip separately hence the weird grouping sometimes.
Semicolon is the European default. Makes sense really as they use commas instead of decimal points and that would mess up the number of columns.
In Excel just highlight the column and then ALT, D, E. (Text to colunns on menu).
Only thing I know about private plates is that you cannot make a car look younger than it is, for example putting a 51 plate on a '95 N plate. You can of course put a '95 N plate on a 2001 car.
I think transferring the plate is simple enough but...
Deposit on another one from someone i know, another silver 4.2 supercharged, 107k full history, if thats the better shell il use all my bumpers and lights and get my plate transferred over somehow (34year old and don't know anything about private...
Whole f_ckin' day wasted today on those two bolts and no further forward. That and trying to bleed the high pressure pipes with 2 dodgy batteries that **** themselves as soon as you try to crank. Utterly wasted ****ing day.
Those bolts have one...
I had this issue, it was solved quite quickly with a blowtorch and hacking away at the housing around the nut until I could just about fit a wrench on it to keep it still
