He was but to be fair it has been very entertaining so far. Just done a 500 mile road trip in mine, mainly A roads, no motorways. Been faultless. I'd forgotten how beautiful the Purbeck Isle / peninsula is. Pity about the beer in Swanage. OK if...

Pressure tested the AC last week with UV dye and the condenser looks like an 80s pop star that had been shot with a shotgun. Holes everywhere. New condenser fitted today, regass, evaporated temp down to 1°. Now we'll have 6 months of rain and cold.

Not used the 38 for 8 days I think as i needed a work horse as i had a house roof replacement to do so used the 110. Battery flat on the 38 this morning so that's on charge and decided to fit the new genuine tailgate seal. The difference in soft...

Nanocom recordings are "usually" in the same order as the screens, i.e. the first four columns are Sensor Voltage, and then columns 5-8 are the Wheel Speeds. Values 9-12 are Inlet Valves, and 13-16 the Outlet Valves. I thought the two brake...

+1 on Nanocom but it is possible to get that free BMW software to talk to the M51 engine, INPA? Something like INPA anyway. Stuart got it working on here somewhere.

That might be thermostatic expansion valve. It prevents a full regas and when you run it it vents to atmosphere losing gas. Takes a month or two to get low enough to notice. Cost about £27 from an air con place 10 years or so ago. It is on the...

The pump bleeding is part of the whole brake system bleeding procedure. There are two bleed nipples on the side of the valve body, the one does the pump and the other does the master cylinder if i remember correctly.

It's a bit of a bugger in that when you need momentum to get through the thick stuff it keeps sticking the brakes on and dragging you back in. That central viscous coupling is a bit of a sod too. With a diff lock you feather the throttle and...

Those in red are threaded holes for cargo tie down points. They are surposed to have metal plugs insterted from below and then rubber coated over that but i assume yours have rusted away.

All the hoses and then the rad itself. Given that there's coolant in the battery tray the little hose from the rad to the expansion tank would be worth looking at first. You can get UV dye to go in the coolant to help track leaks.
