If that black wire isn't tied up properly it can foul on the window mechanism and break inside.
All 3 microswitches need to be working for the EKA input. Boot grounds through the centre one. There's a test sheet on here somewhere.
Given that it's a 1995 car, and might have an earlier BECM, it's probably worth trying Kieth's settings.
Disable both Immo & EKA using diagnostic, and then make sure you successfully write settings. Then lock & unlock the car using the FOB...
Been driving around with no warnings which has spooked me.
Heavy rain yesterday so flooding yesterday and today. Road closed due to flooding but just set to wading height, opened the window to check the depth and just eased through. Pretty much...
I've been thinking.. as you do.. we think of cheap parts that don't last long as false economy.. but when you add it up using man math.. it's not been on long enough to seize up so easier to replace 🤔
The P38 often does more than the owner is willing to try, As does the L322. They are pretty capable, when they work:oops:.
Dont worry the ground will turn slimey and the fender will get its camo back :D.

Hello Guys!
The new valves are slow to arrive, so I go on to solve other problems, replacing the passenger lock, the microswitches were out of order and the tailgate ground was broken. These were the conditions:I then disconnected the RF...
How much pressure ? The tank should generally be from 120-140psi when it's full. If the compressor is tired (usually from feeding a leak somewhere), the tank will never fill, and you will get apparently random faults as the ECU tries to...
I was think the pump and input shaft as well. The shafts are different lengths. I did consider swapping the internals instead and keeping everything the same length but I'm not sure if the first clutch pack is tailored to the longer input shaft...
I think @ovalandrover did this swap to one of his.
Some of the HP24 boxes are supposed to be a straight swap but I think the general opnion on here is that some need the input and oil pump assembly swapped over. Never tried it though.
Turns out it’s 390 Portofino / Arrow Red. The discolouration is quite severe, and noticeably different between the steel and aluminium panels. Thanks everyone for the help! I’m sure I’ll be asking plenty of questions as I start working on it.
So I did desnow it today, but decided to take the defender to the shops.
But now tomorrow ;). Gonna park the fender out somewhere safe and see if the L322 can do what the tin (never said) but hey if it gets beached the EAS will raise it and out...
As long as most of it is out it will be OK. Diesel seems to be way more volatile these days, possibly the ethanol or biodiesel content. Either way, it isn't like the waxy stuff of old. Petrol or acetone definitely better though, especially for...
Thank you, saved me a few £££. What would you suggest cleaning the intercooler out with? I’ve got a Jerry can of diesel left over from when I filled the fuel filter on the last service if that would work?
The relay is needed for the EAS to work properly. It can be replaced with a normal automotive relay and the system will work but not self-level although it will not talk to diagnostics like that.
Might be worth checking height calibration. If it...
Pull the EAS relay locateed under the passenger seat after you stop and see if it drops all round or just one corner. It sounds like the compressor is feeding a leak so it is not going to last long unless the leak is fixed.
Only when it lashes down and only when parked on a camber slope. When parked on level ground, it does not leak so, I ensure it's always parked on level ground when available. Fuel consumption alone is a reason to describe the car as money pit. I...
