I did the Wayfairer on the 4th of June, it was my first time driving it and it was spot on. 99% dry. I took the southern side of the fork this time.

unfortunately we have cancelled this for this year. We bought a house in May and its absorbing all of our spare cash at the moment. We'd probably have spent £500 in diesel alone. We have started saving to do this next year instead.

That's pretty worrying MPG. My manual gets about 30-32 if driven sensibly and I have 235/85/16 BFG A/T on it and a winch and bumper etc so I have a fair bit of extra weight on board too. On my last check I got 22ish but I've been caning it recently and it's way overdue a service.

I know all about midges. Used to live in Milton of Campsie. Holidays in Loch Lomond were my childhood.

Also camping near JoG regardless of which side of Scotland we travel through first. None of the route is set in stone yet.
