I found a few old posts about P38 squealing and think I'm gonna have nightmares about cracked blocks..... So, I've just been out to start her up & run her around the road and there is no squealing when she's ticking over, just when accelerating - also does not seem to happen in reverse. Squeal...

Thanks very much! The engine has had all quite a bit of work done in the last 6 months (according to invoices); new water pump, thermostat, rad, manifold & rocker cover gaskets, hoses, idler pulleys and so on.....so I wrongly took that to indicate that all was well with the engine...... Only...
