So I was driving along, went from 4th to 5th, let out on the clutch and nothing happened. No noise or odd feeling. Just felt empty. I don't know much about gearboxes, reckon it's time to learn. Not sure but I believe it might have an LT77.
If the 12mm bolts are torqued to 40nm then what are the 10mm bolts torqued to. How does this convert to ft lbs? Also, the head gasket that I got didn't come with a torque pattern example. I don't have a Haynes yet. How can I find which bolts are which? I've searched on the internet but google...
From everything else I've read you torque them to 33ftlbs then 90 degrees and another 90 degrees. I do have a Haynes manual on the way but I'll be doing the head before it shows up.

When I do this head gasket swap is there anything special I need to do other than pull off the head and slap a new gasket on. I have only done work like this on gas engines. Never on a diesel. And when I'm done I want to degrease the engine. Is everything in there safe for a degreaser and water...
