Very good pictures you got of it! Was there 6 months ago - it is really an empty place, not like you can count on finding anyone to tow you out. And as soon as water saturates the sand, it does become a lot more difficult to get it out. Good reminder to always watch the tide...

Aah, this one, seen it a long time ago, thanks for refreshing! Reading in the pdf, it seems the spider is only present on non-EDC 300 Tdi's, otherwise this funtion is controlled by an engine management ECU (quote below). But I know that my Defender is not an EDC - it has a perfectly normal stop...

Has anyone put 235/85R16 tyres on standard LR 5.5J steel rims? Normally 6J is recommended, but the difference in width is very small so is will fit - just a question whether the tyres will stay on the rims in turns :eek:
