    brakes loosing pressure

The back pumps up first followed by the front which is very slow. If I raise it to the maximum then disconnect the battery (or leave the door open) will it deflate noticably after, say, 5 days.

    brakes loosing pressure

Just to update you on progress. I fitted an ebayed pressure switch and re-bled the brakes. All seems to be ok. Probably the next problem lying in wait is the EAS. It took forever to pump up. I had the battery out for the 3 weeks it was sitting about so I guess it had zero air in it. Bit bumpy...

    Nanocom; where, why, what, how?

Thanks for the photo sas1810. I'm sure mine is the EAS Messages, although it is 30mph. As I had various EAS messages before I fixed it I assumed it was the same type. The speed function was one of those things I read in the manual and never use so I may have knocked the button and set it by...

    Nanocom; where, why, what, how?

Button on the indicator stork? - you mean I can clear the message without a diagnostic tool? TCubed - the free EAS software is great. It does put a warning on the dash but that goes if you turn off in the correct order. The warming I have is different and due to a height sensor failing -...

    brakes loosing pressure

Sorry - got diverted by tv, etc I only searched around a bit (saab part 8994071) seems to return us prices of $300 and stocsk seem sparse. There are going to be a lot of scrap P38s (if there arn't already) because of a single component.!!

    brakes loosing pressure

Yep - there is the saab part number item (expensive) or a secondhand unit. Now thats what I call good advice - I'm off to the fridge. :D

    Nanocom; where, why, what, how?

Nanocom it is then - my birthday soon, hey wifey get saving the house keeping :D I have the free EAS software so calibrating is possible with that (even if its a PITA with the cable laptop etc) however I can't get rid of the 30MPH speed limit warning, luckily the RR does go faster and the...

    brakes loosing pressure

Just an update. Started it this morning and surprise - no brakes ! Moved it to the drive and listened for the pump - deadly silent. So I pulled out the relay and checked the connections, no earth on the coil side. Funny I thought. So browsing RAVE I found that the pressure switch is open...

    Nanocom; where, why, what, how?

I was also looking at the nanocom but also the Hawkeye. Seem similar price. However the nanocom is a particular engine system (gems, edc, motronic) so you are stuck with that and have to pay for an £50 upgrade to the other engines if you change P38. The hawkeye does all the p38 range; it also...

    brakes loosing pressure

I'm guessing that as it worked first time after bleeding it then I did it right. I followed the Rave method. Is it possible that the pressure switch is stuck in the off position? So it could also be the pump relay then? I need to see if it runs when the brakes fail. Is it...

    brakes loosing pressure

Hi My 1999 P38 2.5D has a brake problem. Started as the 3 lights on the dash staying on which according to the book means lack of pressure. Fluid is not leaking out. I changed the accumulator as the most likely suspect. After changing the accumulator, bleed the brakes. Couldn't start the...

    front radius arm bushes

Just an update. I've finished doing the radius arm bushes :) Basically had to cut through the bolts as they were rusted to the bush sleeves. The rubber HAD come unbonded from the sleeve, the rubber itself was perfect. No problem getting the old one out just chissled through the rubber and...
