James, the idea was for them to repair the chassis. It was only on inspection i found it was plates welded over.

Just to clarify, they said they would put wax oil on it, I asked them not to as I wanted to see the standard of the repair and I was planning on doing the whole thing anyway.

your distributor could have come loose and the timing could be out, this happened to me, was fiddling with the carb for ages but nothing.
