I did, it was like that when I bought it, guess the mismatch probably caused the failure. I've fitted a replacement IRD and got a new VCU. Was thinking of putting the prop on this weekend when I noticed the tyre sizes. Good job I noticed otherwise I would have had another knackered IRD. I wonder...

Hi, I've got a Freelander 1 with 225/50/17's on the front and 225/55/17's on the back . I'm guessing this is to improve the ratio for the IRD. Is this a good strategy? and does anyone here do the same? Thanks
