I already have one at home, just wondered if any one knew the ID (internal diameter) of the bush, as I may be able to find a shaft in the workshop at work.

Any idea of the ID of the spigot bearing / bush. I am at work at the min and may be able to find something here.

Thanks, I'll give this a try, I'll have to find a shaft with a good fit. I was a little concerned when I tried the new spigot bearing on the shaft as there seems to be a little play between the two. ant see the shaft wearing though?? Thanks, For your help.

Does anyone know how to get this little bugger out?? Also does this item have any service limits? I am in the process of replacing the clutch, as I brought a complete kit, but cant see how this comes out? I have opted for the gearbox removal method - moved back just enough room to remove...

Does anyone know of the best clutch to use, AP or genuine LR.......? As why this is out I'd be stupid not to replace it.

Thanks Gaz, I was reading my haynes manual and this states its easier to remove the engine? But seems the landy enthusiasts promote removing the gearbox? Which is easier? Cheers, Ian

Should the rod protude from the arpeture at all, as I have seen an image on the web which shows it an inch or so out, where as mine is about 5mm in, which would explain the fork failure. In rough steps whats the procedure for this change? Thanks, Ian

Hello All, Can any one help? My 300 tdi had a total clutch failure, the pedal went totally to the floor, no resistance there what so ever, Managed to get her home with no clutch which was fun!!! I assumed this was hydralic failure so I brought a new master and slave cylinder. I have now fitted...

Having real problems getting this guide out with the slide hammer....anymore suggestions / tips anyone??

Thanks clutchdust, There is no up and down movement just slight rotational play. So guess I dont have to fork out for a new diff! I will invest in a slide hammer tomorrow, and see if I can get the s*it out!! Thanks, Ian

Hi All, just brought a 300tdi climed under the vehicle to see that the rear prop (3 bolt) flange and diff flange had cracked under shear....this has sent alarm bells ringing.....is there any way of telling if i need a new diff, by rotating it...is there ment to be a few degree's free play...
