I went for a satin finish. Quite chuffed with it. I’ll refit the black checker plate I had and I think it will look ok.

RH thread turns CW to tighten, the pulley turns CW so should drag the nut in, should it be able to rotate about the spindle at all. Also had a damn great spring washer underneath the nut. As for knock ons, how would it be possible to fit them...
