Morning all I am no expert mechanic but how easy is it to change the rotor arm on a K series engine ? Is it just a case of removing then air filter housing, unscrewing the distributor cap and pulling out the old rotor arm ? Or is it a bit more complicated than that ? I am hoping its a 10...

I get that the distributer would make the car play up a bit but would that make smoke / steam come out of the exhaust from time to time though David ?

Its S Reg 1.8 pettol K series so I think its 1998, Hmmm individual things I think but don't quote me.

Cheers David Many thanks for your reply, my gut feeling is that its unburned fuel so I will check the plugs tonight, hopefully it will be a dodgy plug. I really hope its not head gasket again :-( but as I said the problem is intermittent which is odd.

Ah I didn't realise there were 2 different sizes either - I will have to google it. When I ordered the part from Europarts there was only one size available. I assume the size difference if only a few mm's ??
