Hello I had a 200tdi conversion done on my Landy some time ago the origional 2.5td pipes were extended to reach the now further away oil housing One of the hoses has split now and im after 'options' I was going to get two long flexible new pipes made up, but the end fittings with O rings...

To close this one off - the end fix was a knackered alternator ..... if i had the time i would have just changed the brush / diode pack as i'm sure this was all that was wrong but i needed the car running so about 60 quid off EBAY later and it was done

i think it just pops onto the back of the speedo if i recall. it will just go to a point somewhere on the drive train and it will just be a simple follow the route of the old one. it might not be the cable though .... was the speedo 'ticking' before hand (usually a good sign the cable is frayed...

what does the battery voltage read when disconnected ?

Hi - As Pricilla says .... i would be looking towards the charging side of things. sounds like its maybe overcharged. Batteries can fail short of their life span. and sometimes the plates can warp and touch causing shorts. cheers dave
