Please help... my local garage have replaced my clutch after the pedal would not release from the down position last week. Trouble is now they are saying it can not select any gears? Apparently they have tried 2 different clutches and also replaced the cylinders... any ideas greatly appreciated?

For an update the Graco baby seat didn't fit in the rear seat of my disco 1 and they recommended not to put it in the front. Ended up getting a maxi cosey baby seat from Mothercare which fitted in the rear with just enough seat belt to go round. Thats one expense out the way...

Cheers for the responses, as i thought its going to be a case of try it at the shop and see. We're looking at a Graco travel system which has'Graco Junior Baby Car Seat'. Hope it fits as the misses as got her heart set on it.

Hey all I have my first child on the way and have read that seat belt lengths in the rear of my disco 1 will be too short for most baby seats, does any one know if the graco baby seat will fit in if i use the graco seat base?

Could be your imobiliser - do a search for spider unit and see if it sounds like your problem?

I had a similar problem on my 97 300tdi, turned out to be the 'spider' on mine which need bypassing. Do a search for spider unit theres loads of info on here about it.

I have a disco 1 300 tdi 96 reg - When i use my indicators, handbrake, brake lights i have a momentery loss of electrical power (ie radio stops for a split second and dash dials stop for a split second). It doesn't always happen but seems to be getting worse and worse. Any ideas what might be...

Is it normal for the handbrake arm (rod underneather the gator) to get extremely hot whilst driving? If not any one know why mine might be?

As a general rule, if you have 2 buttons on your remote fob then you have the spider. If you have 1 button you dont have the spider.
