OK, so here are the very sooty BP6ES plugs. All equally awful, no special standout cases.
I shall pop some BP5ES's in (hotter plugs I think). I hope they don't do any damage, and it might burn off the carbon. :)
...brownie-points have been earned.
Broken wind-sculpture welded back together and working again. :)
Sausage bacon & egg brunch in a short while.
Visiting the old MIL in hosp this PM. :)
Morning All. :D
A decent nights kip but then the NDN resumed his DIY building works at 08:56. He is hammer & chiselling out masonry. The noise travels straight through the ground and up our side-wall. :(
Looks like a nice day out there, coffee...
Well I would agree with you entirely. The spiel from the raffling org said it was all "souped up" with a stage 2'd head but when I got in touch with the previous owner directly before me he said it was a standard 1275 Metro lump in a Morris Mini...
I have an excess of soot on all plugs.
I will pull all 4 tomorrow and take a picture (hopefully a decent one) to show y'all.
I have a set of BPE5 plugs I could put in to see if they stay cleaner as they run hotter, but the book does say BPE6's...
I've had more than ten Minis, gave up counting
I've only ever had one that ran with light brown plugs and it burned an exhaust valve out.
If you're anywhere from light grey to black without soot then it'll be fine :)
Yes indeed, it left no trace. The oil is still clear from the last change so no black trail.
I did put a tell-tale there and it came away clean and dry (still is) but after tightening the cover T-bolt a bit more the seep/leak has clearly stopped.
OK it is time to "fess-up". It was the rocker gasket after all. :)
The LH screw-down T-Bolt was not as tight as the RH side one.
One extra quarter turn (to match the resistance felt on the RH side one) and the leak stopped.
So well done all...
Been out for a quick blatt around town in the mini. :)
It always makes me smile.
Oil leak sorted it seems. :)
Worried a bit about over-fuelling and bore-washing the engine, but hard to say without an AFR gauge fitted.
Nearly time for afternoon...
Ma hippo needs to get his dpf to 23 so he can regenerate. Few weeks ago he were on 17. Checked last nite after wuk and he were on 22.5. He dun't do many miles so it wood take several days to get to 23. We both like to go ferra drive to hexercise...
Check the edge of the door is vertical with a spirit level, in the closed position and again at 90 degrees open position. This will indicate if the hinges need adjusting.
Fell out wiv me garage doors recently. They have moved so the wheels dun't touch the ground when closed. This means they pull apart slightly so the key has started to bent as turning it requires the doirs to pull togeffer. Eye has put some bits...
You'll have noticed we are not at "Rock and Cars".
W has to keep her foot up and off it, and I am not trying to wheel her around a town crowded with peeps.
I had the devils own job getting her from the parked car to the chemist's yessdi. No...
Different makes charge more as their kit is betterer. Price matching to a price point or competitor sometimes. Either was its betterer for the environment if peeps use one charger and set of batteries across multiple tools.
Morning all, tis the misses birthday today so an afternoon meal will be on the cards. We are going to a friends house tonight
