I've just done the same thing to mine took the regulator to bits was a rotten cable motor and gear box still works so ordered a cable kit off ebay see what happens when it arrives

Do you get anh engine warning lights my 2005 td4 was doing the same and it was the low pressure fuel pump. There behind the rear wheel arch. I believe yours is different and has a pump in the tank instead but I'm not sure if you would experience the same problem still worth checking though

So this weekend I replaced the three hoses with nice new silicone versions but that didn't solve the issue id been reading that you can have the same symptoms from a knackered low pressure fuel pump so parts were ordered and new pump and filter were fitted and problem seems to be sorted.

ahh i see now. ive just finnished mine and earthed it to the bolt in the top left of your last picture. Thanks for the help.

Hi Arctic2 thanks for the reply i see yours has done the same as mine and you have repaired the connection but i cant seen to work out where you have earthed it to. any help greatly appreciated. Scott

morning all just in the process of doing my LP fuel pump and filter on my Freelander1 and have come across an issue that i need help identifying. there is a loose wire thats come off and i dont know where from also whats the item in the picture with "12v thomas magnete" written on? Thanks

Good afternoon On the top front of my td4 engine directly below where the sensor is in the hose there is a tab that looks as though its threaded and should have something in it however there's nothing near it any ideas what its for?

thanks speckydude i did think they felt unusually soft maybe just replace all anyway and see how that goes

pk so i have had a look as best as in failing light ut there dosnt seem to be no noticeable splits that i can see wold it be noticeable? and any other suggestions of what it could be?
