    I had this problem. The cage doesn't hold the rollers tight enough to slip in. Genuine bearing needed.

    hi, without the mainshaft in position the bearing rollers slip in easily but it seems impossible with the mainshaft in, with the reverse idler held up.

    got new bearings and on first rebuild box jammed- found i had broken layshaft bottom bearing when i installed it- new parts and cannot get layshaft home....

    they will give you samples and the main catalogue has full size sections. if you keep door opening lip (standard series) i used KRS 22 SELF ADHESIVE, but on defender plain edgesKR010, 118, 046, 042- there are lots, and they do KRS 9 a sponge...
