Ive got 225/55r17's on mine and I am yet to find any AT/MT to fit. Apparently Colway did ones to fit but went bust last year. Im having to bid on a set of 16's on Ebay, as tyre choice is then an option as plenty of makes do AT's to fit.

I have the same problem, everytime I switch my radio off I can hear a new creak or groan so tend to leave it switched on. Think its just a freelander thing

pains me to say it, but pop into halfords and buy a headunit from them, will fit for you too

my 03 td4 does this too, but only after closing - openinig - closing and so on quickly. Give it 5 mins then all is well again. have come to conclusion something may be overheating or tripping out so dont close them unless absolutely necessary. May be a built in feature to stop it killing...

Love mine to bits. 2003 TD4 had it two years and not been anywhere near a garage other than servicing. I keep her clean and well oiled, she loves me back in return. Only thing is the fecker leaks like a sieve I call that character

Sounds like loose/disconnected wire, probably near the switch. Take gear stick/gaiter apart, re-solder and away you go
