I blipped the key fob a couple of times to lock and unlock the car. Checked the display and the red light was off which I assume means the immobiliser is off.

Hey, I had a disco 3 for a while and it was a great car..... However, Look out for a full service history. Check that the air suspension rises and lowers evenly - if the pump is going then it may lift quickly at the back and slowly at the front. Check the electronic handbrake - sometimes locks...
