Much obliged boys, its my hubby with the RR but me with the net nouse - he has his head buried in the owners manual! problems with the battery but also, as its converted to gas, probs starting it on petrol - too many problems if you ask me, its orf to the wreckers if i had my way

Nice one Disco Steve - sensible response. I had read on another post about old batteries giving "ghost voltage" readings and that seems to marry up with what you are saying. God bless the Net!!

I have a 1984 Ranger Rover with a serious battery problem. The battery voltage according to the voltmeter reads 13 volts however when connected to the car the voltage meter reads 6 volts and the car will not start???? Please forgive the tone and terms of this post, I am by no means an expert...
