thanks all for help, i replaced the crankshaft rotation sensor (located on the bell housing) last week and have done about 200 miles since so i am hoping that is the problem solved, will have to sort the oil in the loom problem has anybody used expanding foam to plug either end of the loom...

Ta shifty, I cleaned out the multi plug already with aerosol solvent but it did not solve the problem, but i will try it again tomorrow in case i missed any
