I now have a OBD 2 to usb cord I will use. I do have 12.45v with the key of from the Fuse under the bonnet. I will do some more tests today. Thanks.

Thank you for the responces guys. The Rangi is a 4.0 petrol. When I tested the battery the temp here in Cali was 80 degrees and the battery was disconnected, It is a 2 month old battery that I fitted when I bought the car. I just rechecked the voltage with the leads fitted and temp @ 62 degrees...
