Just another thought / question... Would anybody on here know whether the Engine mounts might have been already moved through the fitting of the Ford Diesel? The 3.0 V6 states that the Engine mount relocation is the first job - so just wondering if the 2.5 DI Diesel required the same before...

Thanks Galladog, yeah I've put Engines in before, though some time back, did an 1800 into an MGB and a few Vauxhall Engine Swops so not beyond me. I've also welded, MIG welded a Motorbike Frame - so it's within my skill-set - I just wondered if there was some out of work Mechanic or privateer...

Thanks again, nice to know its a Capri Engine. I couldn't find a resource on line to de-cipher it so nice to now that I'd end up with a Land-Capri !! Again - anyone know of someone who might be interested in the job of fitting it in - removing the Diesel, welding new mounts and putting it in...

Thanks Galladog - I've done that and they emailed me a scan of the instructions for a £5 PayPal payment - bargain - they date from 1985! You are also right re Engine mounts, that's the first thing covered - re-weld re-locate Engine mounts... I've contacted Steve Parker and they don't do the...

So, Engine arrived today on a Pallet complete with Steve Parker conversion kit dated 1985. Block number seems to be Ford 722F6015BA - need to decode - been looking online but not sure of BHP or origin.... Would anyone know if the Engine mounts will still need moving, as my Landie already has...
