After a break I have gone back to try and sort out the Rangey and get her through an MOT. As you all will see from this old thread, the engine management light came on and the engine kept dying. Since then I have adjusted the FIP so modulation is around 50, and after another similar failure...

Thanks for replies - I checked the lines from the valve block with soapy water and they appear airtight. Shall go out and listen for the solenoid.

Also, the reading on the nanocom stays down around 70, so I think the sensor must be working.

I am sure this will have been asked before, but can't find the thread. Rear o/s air bag does not inflate even when triggered with the Nanocom. The compressor goes off, and the rest of the three bags inflate and deflate. First thought was hole in bag, but that can't be right. What am I missing?

Thanks for all replies - have decided to go with OEM shocks, partly because I have never ridden in another P38, and the shocks on there have been since we bought her ten years ago. It will be interesting to see what improvement they make. Perhaps in the future I will consider other options...

After all the rain cleared I took a look at the wire to the sensor on injector four. Where it goes into the injector the insulation looks a bit split. And then I found one of the wires coming out of the connector had broken off. So I shall have to add a new length and see whether that cures it...
