Is that video after the smoke has cleared? Mine does the same thing, but much more grey smoke, and lumpy for a few minutes. I cleared out the inlet manifold last summer and it cleared it. It was good since, until it started warming up and now it is doing it again now, but not for as long...

Hi I now have two working fobs They both lock all doors and 'undeadlock' the doors (clunks heard) but dont pop the buttons up. The drivers door button used to pop up, but recently gave up the ghost. I presume this is motors in locks. But, the lock/unlock button on the dash (lower centre) now...

I got the fob back to Portugal and finally today got it programmed on someone's Hawkeye. Works perfectly! I just wish my locking motors all did too :rolleyes: Now I have a spare!

Me too For sure, when I cleaned my inlet manifold and EGR (latter wasnt too bad though) it made a heck of a difference I also thought the reason for getting clogged up could be the sump breather filter being blocked?

I thought that the problem with a clogged EGR was that it can get stuck open So the blanking mod just takes the valve part away So why not clean it out, ensure it's closed and disconnect the vacuum pipe so that it never opens (effectively removing the valve) and plug the vac pipe to avoid vac...

Onto the tracking bit: Rave says toe out of -0.23 +- 0.23 degrees (0 to 0.46 degrees) Which by simple trig is 0 to 4.0 m/km Where do people run? Road mostly if not exclusively.

Yup. Iknow the equivalents that are ok if not siezed but I'm not doing the job. I was just surprised that he found imperial sizes on the freelander, especially a LHD for Portugal

Where does the temp gauge level out with a fully functioning original thermostat (i.e. without mod)? On a not really hot or cold day, and driving, not in traffic Half way, or 1/4 way? or summat else? I seem to remember mine sitting at 1/4 whatever the weather (from 0 to 40+ deg C here), even...
