If a blank or a hollowed out EGR is fitted it improves the air flow. Whether it is noticeable is difficult to answer
Me too

I also thought the reason for getting clogged up could be the sump breather filter being blocked?
I thought that the problem with a clogged EGR was that it can get stuck open
So the blanking mod just takes the valve part away
So why not clean it out, ensure it's closed and disconnect the vacuum pipe so that it never opens (effectively...
