You are missing nothing ! It is a simple way of effecting EGR removal and cost nowt... If a blank or a hollowed out EGR is fitted it improves the air flow. Whether it is noticeable is difficult to answer

Me too For sure, when I cleaned my inlet manifold and EGR (latter wasnt too bad though) it made a heck of a difference I also thought the reason for getting clogged up could be the sump breather filter being blocked?

I thought that the problem with a clogged EGR was that it can get stuck open So the blanking mod just takes the valve part away So why not clean it out, ensure it's closed and disconnect the vacuum pipe so that it never opens (effectively...

One solution is to do the EGR and manifold clean out, and then simply isolate the vac supply to the EGR.

The nuts on the front of the propshaft to IRD bolts are best fit for 1/2 inch AF. Also the TD4 aux belt tensioner is 15/16 inch AF. 24mm is loose and hurts your knuckles when it slips off !! Can you get 6 sided ring spanners ??

Onto the tracking bit: Rave says toe out of -0.23 +- 0.23 degrees (0 to 0.46 degrees) Which by simple trig is 0 to 4.0 m/km Where do people run? Road mostly if not exclusively.

Everything is metric in my experience on my TD4 FL1 Facelift 2005 LHD. This week I discovered that draper tools and a mix of other spanners were too "loose" on the 10mm anti-roll bar bush retaining bracket screws. I finally tried a Wurth set of...

Maybe Landrover thought let's switch it up for LHD models and use imperial, they've not really been known for thinking intelligently 😂
