Thought I'd update my post on this. Had the system all fitted, then thought better to make it portable. So made it into a battery box Spec - Wickes Galvanised Mobile Toolbox - Maplin 600W Pure Sine Wave Inverter - Numax Connect and Forget 10A Charger - 2x 86Ah Numax XC24MF batteries -...

Newbie with a 110 needing some interior TLC

So, my mate has been very kind and found the time to respray my landy. Still a few bits to do; considering whether to spray the roof green or not, then the roof rack and wheels will be sprayed - most likely black. Then checker plate on top of the wings and along the bottom of the door etc...

I hear you. Luckily we live in a very safe area and 100 yards from the police station. I have CCTV pointed at it, and you pass cop shop cameras on the way out. Of course, nothing beats prevention, so I'm just getting the steering wheel replaced then will get a diskloc. Might put in a hidden...

Your must be a mind reader mate, picking up a pair on Thursday.

Apologies for delay updating. A mate of mine (a mechanic) kindly informed me that my mechanical knowledge is **** poor and also very kindly took over fixing my Landy properly. A bit of scraping showed that the previous owner had just filled around the bulkhead. My mate fixed it up properly...

    Roll out bed

I thought about a bivi as well, didn't want to put too much weight on the fixings and having tried a hammock recently decided I'm too fat for something without good support. Ply is definitely an option, but I don't want the slide out storage so would need to be some fold up system - preferably...

Yeh, there's downsides to the plan. If I was clever enough to come up with table/bed combo that'd be ideal

Size isn't a problem in my plan. I'm standing on tip toes to touch 5ft 8

    Roll out bed

Now then, I've got a 110 hard top. Using it for camping when 'er indoors will let me. Trying to figure out a way of putting a easily fitted camp bed. I've looked through all the posts I could see and most use plyboard and look really sturdy but I want something light weight and easily...

That's what I'm worried about, but I'm been doing it for a while and on some hot days. I agree though, not a certain thing. Just experimenting for now. May well have to take your advice. First landy, lots to learn.

hi mate, lots and lots of spray glue from a carpet shop. Got through loads of the stuff - it's the same price as a couple of beers and has a similar effect ;) Not sure how well it will hold, it seems really sturdy if applied liberally but i needed to go over places again where i'd missed...

Rear is tidied up a little. Not sure how long my **** insulation job will last but if it makes it through to next summer camps I'll be happy. Need to take the shine off the floor as well, like an ice rink at the mo.

A mate recommended the same system as he has. Durite 0-727-33 relay and 2x Numax 86A batts. Fraction of the cost but achieves the same thing. Don't need the monitor, so seems ideal.
