    I've heard that a lot but haven't experienced it. When i changed mine I updated the VIN and mileage with days.

    You need to get one from the same year with the same lights (LED, HiD etc). It also stores a backup of the mileage and I've heard the instrument cluster will take the higher mileage after a while unless you reprogram it fairly soon.

    And yes the LCM controls the lights and as they don't like water this is more than likely your issue.

    First thing you need to do is fix the leak. Second is look for the part number on that module then google it to see what it is. But it does look like the LCM.

    Mine had only done 150k when it let go. I was lucky as the damage was minimal but still a 2 day repair job on the drive.
