It could be the handbrake. A lot of cars do it. As the sus drops the angle of the arm changes at the rear and can force the handbrake a little.

What are they doing?
are there any light faults showing on the dash?
Are there any fault codes in the LCM?
If you unplug the LCM for a few minutes and reconnect it is everything ok again for another 5 mins?
Fink if you is doin very back winders yer needs an eggspensive type one that don't interfere wiv aerials init.

Coolant leak tomorrow as no manifold gaskets arrived in time.
Not sure about previous owners replacing it but there's no tamper dot on the display. The fact the lights flicker with the bulb test suggests it's intended for normal incandescent bulbs so I'm thinking it is original.
Nothing to lose by doing that, certainly.
TBH the cylinder heads on these vehicles are so complex what with having all the injection gubbins in them,
I'd also be giving the starter motor a large dose of looking at.
Those sounds, cos to me there...
