Yeah they are both there, and they felt solid when I grabbed them. Rear one: There is a weird metal flakey thing on the prop in this picture, was this a weight or was this probably some kind of spec plate? Very thin, paper thin. And the...

I just thought of it @ar1g3, are both the harmonic weights for your diffs still there and their bolts tight/rubber bushes still intact?

I have a question about cats. Not the animal but the exhaust gas conversion system fitted to my 4.0 1999 V8 p38. Chassisnumber is something like XA415... I have read that there are two types of cats for the V8, one for the GEMS and one for the...

As long as the slip joint is on the transfere case side you cant really install it wrong. But if if you managed to get that wrong i doubt it would cause vibrations. Are you on air suspension or coils? Ride height makes quite a diffrence to...

I am on air suspension which is functioning correctly and calibrated last year so that shouldn't be the issue. I played around with the ride height on the motorway but couldn't get a clear result as there was too much traffic. I did install the...

They go on either way, the idea is that the sliding joint on the prop is put at the transfer box to reduce contamination from the road. ๐Ÿ‘

Hmm something did occur to me. I removed the front prop last year as I had to replace the bolts for the output shaft speed sensor plate on the gearbox. I don't remember of the vibration was there before these works but I think not. Can you...

I had the car on a ramp and the front propshaft u-joints are indeed slightly out of phase. Didn't take the shaft out to verify if it's 2 teeth. The rear shaft has them in phase. So the search for what's causing the vibration continues.. I did...

Soo small update. I had the car on a ramp today and surprisingly all bushes were fine. Only the rear radius arm bushes have some hairline cracks so I will replace them with OEM rubber.

Well, to go to the original topic...I previously had a p38 with poly's installed by the PO. Driving at 60mph it felt like something was trying to rip the front axle from underneath the car ie death wobble, pretty unnerving on a motorway...once I...

That's the exact reason I'm looking at that unit! You can choose from around 4000 colours for the backlighting, so not only can I have green backlighting I can have the correct shade of green ๐Ÿ˜

If you're an SE, without bass speakers in the boot, then I think you can just connect up a new head unit and away you go. If you have steering wheel controls, you'll probably loose these however. I think even on the 1999 MY, the comms between...
