Hi Mainwaring, It cirtainly sounds like its your fuel pump i had the same problems with mine a couple of months ago and changed the fuel pump and filter and its all good now. Like Rhodie said dont buy a cheap pump or you'll end up changing it again.

Hi Rikky, I had a similar problem with my 2005 td4 recently of losing power and eventually trouble starting. I had a new pump and filter fitted and it cost me £200 but i took eveyones advice and went for a decent pump. its been running sweet ever since.

Hi Rhodie, i dont know alot about the synergy 2a to be honest would you say this would be a better option? would i need to get anything else? I've done the egr bypass and the breather change, gonna upgrade my hoses.

I think 300 quid is the going rate for a decent pump, thats what i paid.
