Propshaft off eBay RAC removed snapped prop shaft so o could drive it. Nothing moved other than driving it in diff lock

Hi guys Bit of a numpty question but hopefully some one will be able to assist. Replacing front prop shaft and having difficulty. Rear coupling in place Front coupling does not line up to the holes also the shaft does not move freely. Any advice before I have a heart attack greatly appreciated
