update i have put the car on stands and got the mrs to put it in first the pinion is spinning lovely and there is no noise coming from it fromwhat i can hear maybe different under load i dont no i have noticed that the pinion hasnt ben capped off with one of those blanking plates a lot of people...

thats what im thinking ive got the mod gasket timing belt n water pump kit already to go on its really just the 4x4 issue like you say at 300 quid it doesnt owe me much yet lol
