Is there anything special about filling the ABS module? Just wondering if it might have got air in it somewhere.
What system are you using to bleed them? Last time I did it I used an EZ bleed that gets pressure from a spare tyre so it forces...
i have done this using a nylon with the help of a machinist friend and is getting me by but clutch pedal sits super high and the bitting point is still to the fire wall. plus i think the extra travel ruined the seals because it is leaking from...
Worth trying the simple first !!

Sorted mine. Big job, clutch change on a Freelander.
In the past I made an extension for the pin that sticks out of the clutch master cylinder and clips onto the pedal. It worked a treat for years.
This might help if you need to do the clutch...
My wife's Ford Kuga has an oddity with the lights. With the car running and the lights on if I push the start/stop button the engine keeps running until I turn off the lights then the engine turns off too. It's been like that since we bought it 4...
*1 is magic, and seems to be installed in every F2 😵💫
Auto lights are great, but, as every car, they still struggle to sense fog during the day, and so many people forget to override and switch their lights on. (That’s not LR specific of...
And today I had the first proper drive with the new brain installed and so far all good.
I still need to tidy up some 12V wiring like the heater controller, Chademo control and a few other things also tweak a few settings but it's driving as well...
I found with an L series FL1 the brakes were very poor but all the post 2001 FL's I've driven the brakes are great. As good as any other car I've driven which includes Mercs, Fords, Vauxhall, VAG group etc.
Thank you everybody who took the trouble to respond.
As always Landy Zone members were enormously helpful and enabled me to finish the job. Looking at the various stages of solving the problems I probably knew some of the answers but didn’t...
Added daughter #3 to the insurance so she can drive it because her vehicle is terminally dead. Pound to a pinch of **** it comes back with an empty fuel tank, and a cab full of empty sweetie wrappers and dog hair.
At least it’ll come back.
My daughter ‘borrowed’ my F1 when I got my F2 and it never came back. She is now the proud owner of it… uses it as her daily. Of course, she paid for it - not!
I fitted new front calipers, discs and pads today. The old sliders were solid and corrosion was merrily working away between the pad friction material and backing plate, giving occasional problems. All done proper now!
OK so a couple of days late but we have it charging again. ☺️
ATM The coolant pump is going full tilt as I had an issue with the Arduino, and I can't schedule for overnight charging yet but that will be next.
I had to rewire some of the 12V...
So the goal for today is to get the coolant pump controller Arduino installed then the charger.
While the new VCU can theoretically send the required 2hz PWM that the coolant pump needs it is not simple and I have another reason to go with the...
You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs Ali.
It looks complicated from a bystander's point of view, but dealing with one wire at a time is the way to get through the project.
Keep up the good work.
If it was REALLY complicated I wouldn't be able to cope.
Like I said, I connect one wire at a time and after many hours the number of wires has reduced by a few.
Some day they will all be connected.
Those old ICEs eh.
All those moving parts, valves, chains, belts, shafts, pumps and the cranks, pistons, con rods etc.
All replaced by a simple electric motor with 1 twirly bit.
They are so much simpler
I wouldn't know where to...
