A cubic centimetre is 1cc, thats a box a cm on a side, one litre is a box
containing 1000ccs, or 10cm (one decimetre) on a side, a cubic metre is a
box one metre on a side, or ten decimetres on a side, or 1000 litres.
Another way of looking at it is, one cubic metre of fresh water is 1000Kg,
one litre of fresh water is 1Kg. so one cubic metre is 1000 litres.
Contents of a litre doesn't matter, 1000 litres of gas is one cubic metre,
one cubic metre of solid is 1000 litres of solid
