these fell out me g/box wid de oil.anyone know wot they are???

They are synchro springs that keep 3rd and 4th gear in neutral,easy to replace but gearbox have to come out!

erm......did they and the oil fall out of your gearbox on their own or did you make the oil and springs fall out?

I am hoping you are gonna say you made em do it!!

thanks for your replies .yeah ive taken my gbox out to replace my clutch and before i pressure washed it i emptied oils...

There's 1 and a 1/2 detent springs there, so you should have another half floating around somewhere.......and one still in place in the synchro hub.

You can get the new ones in without dismantling the box, but by god its fiddly

Did you have trouble with it dropping out of 3rd and 4th?

thanks for that landy ads.........i bought the new ones today 3@18p each......but up to now i havent a clue how to fit them..........ive got the box out anyway cos i,m replacing the clutch...do you know how to fit them?
