Back in August my D2 autobox packed up-(no pump).Since then I have had a mare of a time getting the box out ,(bell housing frozen,raining most w'ends+flu for 3 weeks).
Anyway treated myself to an Ashcroft refurb +heavy duty torque converter and finally got her off axle stands Sat morn,just before the wind hit.
Drives absolutely superb,even the summer bio she was full of is showing no issue.Really pleased with the old girl.The feeling of relief when selecting a gear and feel the engine come under load,I was punching the air.
Would I do this again,single handed probably not

Never heard a bad thing said about Ashcroft's TC conversion, everyone seems to love it.
