I've fitted a rear work light partly so I can see when reversing and it will be useful also.



No idea on how to wire it in though.
I have figured out the routing of the cable, inside then down following the rear lights route through or along the chassis. A cable will need to go into the cab up and through the bulk head to the switch and then back out to the battery.
I do not know what gauge of wire, relay or switch to use and how to connect up...

From the battery, fit a fuse holder to the positive terminal, connect 10 amp (at least) twin core cable to the end of the fuse holder (red wire) and the black wire to the negative terminal on the battery,do NOT fit fuse yet, mount your switch on the dash board (10 amp switch), you can get them so they illuminate when switched on, peal back the insulation on the red cable and expose the copper wires, cut wire and fit it to the switch (you will need a crimping tool and spade connectors) and fit the other end of the red cable to the other side of the switch. continue the cable to the light unit wiring remembering to secure the cable as you go and if you need to drill holes then use rubber grommets, if joins run outside the vehicle then solder and use heat shrink insulation .
With LED's valuing 10 amps it's hardly worth wiring in a relay but if you feel the need you can google a picture on how to wire a automotive 4 pin relay

My wiring is not a problem as I worked as a wireman, I needed the type of wire and switch and if you say a relay isn't needed, all the better!
