Hi Folks,

So my wiper motor decided to die on me in a monsoon on the M6 this week. Does anyone have any sources for a used spare?

A new wiper assembly is available for around £100 + VAT from OE LR supplier's, so for that price, there's no point in messing with second hand parts.

Are failing wiper motors the new 21st centuary scourge of the motoring world? I had never heard of one failing until I joined this forum.

Yes, quite common.
Wiper motors are now much small than in years gone by, and wiper blades have got bigger. So a smaller, more powerful motor is moving more load, and so doesn't last as long.
