Hi All,
Any tips for replacing the front window seal on a 1994 Def pickup as the original is very leaky. I have the seal now but I assume you have to drop the headlining and go from there . Nothing in the workshop manual . Has anyone done this before? and if so any tips please..
Cheers Guys.

Hmm if you aint done it go to a windscreen place otherwise could well crack the screen.

You have to remove old screen very carefully. Put rubber on fully. 6mm cord rope, not easy if not done before

also get the corners just in first but not right in and work round- otherwise if you push corners right in it is a pain in arse.

how did the second attempt go :confused: are you waiting for screen 3 :D

I tried doing mine and broke it. Then a windscreen fitter had a go and broke another one. Finally he had another go and got it in sucessfully. 3rd time lucky...

Ditto. My top corners are bout 3 mil proud. Will try a very liberal lube spray and light rubber hammer tap in followed by swearing then give up.

Job done. Took advice and go fitter to do it and as predicted he broke the original screen, but replacement was fine and I can actually see out now.
