Not really, as you have to remove the rails, unwind the cables from the motor and then try to reassemble it again, which would be like making a ship in a bottle. Why would ya want to? Fairly easy to remove the unit from the door, with a little bit of wiggling and patience. My top tip is to have the winder most of the way down, wind the long cable onto the drum and tape in place around the casing entry point and then wind the shorter cable on the drum. Then jam the lid back on before it all springs out like a jack-in-the-box.
